An established performance marketing agency is looking for an SEO/AEO Manager to join its growing digital team. This is an opportunity for an ambitious SEO/AEO Manager to work with a business that has spent over two decades helping brands grow through data, media and digital strategy. You’ll create strategies, manage client relationships and drive measurable growth across both traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, turning insight into action and helping clients stay ahead of change.

What you’ll be doing
As SEO/AEO Manager, you’ll own the planning and delivery of SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation and conversion rate optimisation strategies across a varied client portfolio. You’ll analyse search visibility, identify opportunities and build practical roadmaps that improve rankings, traffic quality and conversion performance.

You’ll work closely with clients to explain recommendations, guide implementation and report on impact. From technical SEO reviews and site migrations to content optimisation, EEAT improvements and schema opportunities, you’ll help brands improve discoverability across search engines and AI platforms.

You’ll also test new optimisation approaches, run CRO experiments, evaluate results and help shape the future of how this agency approaches AI-driven search. As SEO/AEO Manager, your work will directly influence how clients are found, trusted and referenced online.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Previous experience working as an SEO/AEO Manager or in a hands-on SEO role within an agency or in-house marketing team.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, site structure, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals and on-page optimisation.
  • Experience using platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other SEO tools.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and turn insights into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Experience presenting strategy, results and recommendations to stakeholders or clients.
  • Understanding of CRO principles and testing methodologies would be highly valuable.
  • Interest in generative AI, large language models and emerging search behaviour.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

What you’ll get in return for your experience
This SEO/AEO Manager role offers a competitive salary, performance-based bonus and the opportunity to build specialist expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of digital marketing. You’ll receive structured development support, mentorship from experienced specialists and exposure to clients across multiple sectors.

Benefits include hybrid/remote working, enhanced holiday allowance, life insurance, employee assistance support, wellness contributions, eye care support and free parking when visiting the office. Most importantly, you’ll join a team that values curiosity, experimentation and practical innovation.
