As part of our client’s ongoing growth and commitment to leveraging leading technologies like DBT and Snowflake, they’re looking for experienced Data Engineers to join the growing Data Platform Team.

This role offers the chance to significantly impact the data infrastructure of a leading figure in the insurance sector, renowned for its innovative approach and dynamic solutions. With recent strategic moves towards Snowflake and a focus on DBT for data transformations and modelling, this position represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of data processes within an organisation that places a high value on effective technologies and methodologies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage sophisticated data structures, including cutting-edge datawarehouses and expansive processing systems.
  • Craft and maintain intricate data streams that amplify analytical capabilities and bolster decision-making processes.
  • Design and execute efficient data frameworks for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading, employing DBT for streamlined transformations and modelling.
  • Spearhead automation and refinement of data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Play a critical role in utilising Snowflake capabilities to achieve the teams strategic objectives.

What Experience You’ll Need to Apply

  • Demonstrated success as a Data Engineer with substantial experience in DBT and/or Snowflake.
  • Proficient in programming languages (Python, Scala etc.) and well-versed in SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Skilled in managing data pipelines and workflow with tools like Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow et.c
  • Adept in cloud computing services with a focus on building and managing data solutions in cloud environments (Azure a must have if Senior).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a broad audience.
