When I was a kid I wanted to become:
For years growing up as a child, I always told my mum that I wanted to be a checkout assistant at Tesco. The older I became my dream was to become a professional footballer but here I am today as a specialist recruiter, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
For me, this is “what working at ADLIB” is all about:
ADLIB for me is like being part of one big family. A place where there are so many personalities and different levels of experience, but we all come together as one and we’re all in it together. Being an employee-owned business as well as B Corp just shows we aren’t like your typical recruiters.
My biggest feel-good moment since I’ve been at ADLIB:
That’s a tough one given that most moments here are a feel good one. For me I think it would be winning a company award within my first couple of months within the business, to be recognised so early on for the hard work that is put in, and everyone celebrating with you is just very wholesome.
Being part of the winning team for the treasure hunt at the 2022 summer party isn’t too bad either ????
How I explain what I do at a party:
This is a question that I get asked a lot and it’s amazing how many people don’t know what recruitment is. I usually say that I help skilled people find their perfect job and I help a range of awesome companies find the perfect person to work for their company.
Beyond recruitment at ADLIB, I care about…
Paintball! I play to a semi-pro level and compete in the second highest division in the UK and have even competed within the European circuit. I’m very passionate about my sport and some of the traits you learn from playing can be easily transferable into my job and help me become the best version I can.
