Are you wondering what those working within 'Analytics' actually do? Here an example to show what this could look like.
You can be working as part of an agency team but can also be working direct for a business. You’ll be in charge of all data analytics relating to a business or sometimes a specific area of the business (e.g. website, marketing, finance or sales). You will analyze the relevant data to report on current performance - you will then report your findings to the relevant teams in order to improve the product, increase potential ROI, gain better insight into customer behaviour or find new trends around the business.
You will naturally be a great communicator too, as you'll need to liaise with various teams, highlighting where you see issues and key opportunities to improve performance. You’ll be using a vast range of tools to gather data, from Google Analytics (GA) and SQL queries or perhaps developing models or machine learning algorithms and everything in between. You'll constantly have an eye out for other tools that become available and could be useful for your business or client. This includes tools to gather data as well as those used to filter, analyze, evaluate and visualise.
We work with agencies and businesses across the areas of Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Cornwall and Devon - basically across the entire South West of England - on Analytics related Jobs.
