A design agency in Bristol is looking for a Creative Director to take ownership of branding and campaign projects for B2B tech clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll create, lead and deliver outstanding design work across complex programmes. You’ll shape pitches and business development, manage key client relationships, and drive creative standards at every stage.

What you’ll be doing

As Creative Director, you’ll oversee the visual concept and execution across major design projects. Leading project teams and managing creatives, you will make key craft decisions and ensure everything meets the highest standard. You will also be comfortable being hands-on with art direction and design to support your team where needed.

Reporting into an Executive Creative Director and working alongside another creative lead, you’ll guide and develop the design team, setting expectations, running critiques and supporting professional growth. You’ll also manage freelancers and external partners where needed to maintain delivery quality.

Alongside delivery, you’ll build strong relationships with senior clients, confidently presenting work and influencing decision-making. You’ll play an active role in pitches, contribute to growth strategies and identify opportunities to expand existing accounts. Commercial awareness will be key, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.

Working with tech businesses ranging in size from startup to enterprise, you will be passionate about delivering human-centred, emotionally resonant creative solutions for B2B clients. You will be joining an agency looking to reinvent the B2B space, building authentic and distinct brands that connect with their customers, so being innovative and ambitious is key to this role.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Extensive experience as a Creative Director or Head of Design within an agency environment.
  • Outstanding portfolio showcasing complex branding projects of significant scope.
  • Strong understanding of B2B tech brands and market dynamics.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Track record of managing senior client relationships at CMO or C-suite level.
  • Experience pitching for creative projects and winning bids.
  • Hands-on creative approach with attention to detail and craft.
  • Solid commercial awareness of project delivery, scoping and margins.
