Are you skilled in analytics, SEO and digital implementation? This is the role for you. This niche, exciting role brings together a mix of skills to be implemented in this exciting agency.

This agency specialises in complex, best-in class Shopify builds and has lots of exciting clients. They’re simply missing the SEO and analytics aspect, so you’ll be growing this area from the ground up. They currently don’t have any first party data analysis or an SEO strategy in place currently, so there is a lot of opportunity to make this your own and implement best practices.

This role is a new addition to the agency, so the only way is up! There is so much growth to happen here, with the chance to grow out the function, create the analytics and SEO strategy and be hands on. You’ll work closely with Directors, C-Suite and the CEO while driving this throughout the business.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll be utilising your data analysis and technical SEO experience. You’ll be involved in strategy, first party data analysis and website optimisation. You’ll be involved in digital tagging and implementation with the Google Suite, SEO strategy and hands on analytics, as well as data analysis and providing insights on first party data.

They have a strong technology team who can handle the coding, but in this role they need someone who can drive SEO and capable of developing certain SEO functions in the business, so it’s a chance to be hands on, senior and still get your hands dirty.

This is a pivotal role for this company, so you’ll be client facing, working internally and getting involved in many areas of the business. You’ll really have your chance to make your mark in this role.

Initially, you wont have any direct reports and instead be working closely with the CRO, Head of Development, Design Lead and Tech Lead. Later down the line, you’ll be able to grow this team and have your own functional department which has a track record of making an impact for the agency and their clients.

You’ll also work closely with the Head of New Business and the CEO with strategic road mapping, developing this as a service and building out your Analysis and SEO function. Sound like you? Read on for more!

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Experience working as an SEO and Data Expert
  • Experience leading a department/function
  • Proven ecommerce background (ideally agency)
  • Technical SEO capabilities and experience with SEO tools and technologies
  • Keyword analysis experience and understanding of IA SEO & Data Layers
  • Experienced with Tagging and Digital Implementation
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4
  • Comfortable working with C-Suite, stakeholders and directors
  • Ability to attend and speak at industry functions and get involved in content pieces

Office Requirements
Please note this role requires a day a month in the office, plus two monthly client meeting. For this reason, we can only consider candidates who are a commutable distance from Bath (ideally based in the South West) and happy to attend last-minute meetings.

What you’ll get in return for your experience
This role is available as a ‘Data and SEO Lead’ or ‘Director of Data and SEO’ with a salary of between £65,000 – £90,000, depending on experience.
