We’ve teamed up with a small but well-reputed software house who specialize in bespoke solutions across embedded, cloud, application, and enterprise systems. They work with industry giants including some of the world’s leading engineering companies across a broad range of sectors including rail and highways.

As their project pipeline continues to grow they’re looking for a Senior C# Software Engineer to join their team.

This is a hybrid role that will require you to be office based once a week. The business offers loads of flexibility around working hours, but you’ll need to be within a commutable distance of Trowbridge, Wiltshire and happy to work in the office on Wednesdays.

What skills you’ll need.

  • Extensive C# .Net experience (for Applications/Services).
  • Windows based Development.

Experience in at least one of the following:

  • Knowledge of Communications Protocols/Internet Technologies (TCP/IP, Network sockets, HTTP, HTML).
  • Cloud Development (ideally AWS).
  • Django Web Application development.
  • Database (Design, Configuration, and Use).
  • Mobile App development (Xamarin, Android Studio).
  • Application of Machine Learning techniques.
  • Linux based application-level development.
  • Object-Oriented Design (UML).

What you’ll be doing.

Alongside an engineering team of c.30, you’ll work on a broad range of work streams including entirely greenfield projects, being involved from a technical perspective at bid stage through to delivery.
As a senior engineer within an Agile/Scrum environment, you’ll have oversight of 2-3 projects at any one time, helping to architect and design solutions whilst remaining hands-on to deliver software solutions with a focus on high reliability and high availability.

You’ll need to have excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of engineering best practice. Typically projects last between 3-9 months, affording you loads of variation and exposing you to new and emerging tech including ML, computer vision and augmented reality. The business invests heavily in their team’s development, enabling you gain professional certifications on the job.
