Senior Full-Stack Developer

We’re working with an innovative and well-reputed Green Tech business who have been at the forefront of the renewable industry for over 20 years. They have won multiple accolades including ‘World Class’ rating in the UK best companies to work for 2022. They’re considered market leaders in the clean energy space and have a huge community presence for advocating sustainability and investing in GreenTech start-ups. They’re continuing to grow organically and through acquisition, so it’s an exciting time to join the business.

Based in Chippenham, they’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their engineering team that consists of around 20 people, and offer the option of highly remote, and flexible working, with 1 trip a week or fortnight to the office for team anchor days. Of course, if you want to be office based more often, you’re welcome to do so.

What you’ll be doing

Joining a cross-functional Agile Scrum team of 6-7, that includes, Developers, DevOps Engineer, Automation Tester, and Product Owner, you’ll be working on a varied mix of projects across their web & mobile platforms.

Using React, React Native, C#.Net and Azure DevOps tooling and practices, you’ll work on their latest greenfield innovation, that will have a direct positive impact on how customers consume energy; rewarding them for using energy at optimal times and therefore reducing carbon emissions.

As well as delivering clean, reusable, and scalable code, you’ll help drive continuous improvement and best practice within the engineering team. As a Senior Developer you’ll take ownership of projects, propose new ideas and solutions, and be involved in mentoring and coaching the more junior developers within the team. They invest heavily in their team’s development, so you’ll have your own annual training budget to spend on books, courses, and development resources as you wish.
 
What skills you’ll need 

  • Experience developing web/mobile apps with React or React Native.
  • Experience with C#.Net for backend development.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps tooling and practices with a focus on CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with web APIs.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices and methodologies.
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership of projects and take initiative.
  • Able to problem solve and offer mentorship and support to more junior developers.
