About the Strategic Marketing Manager role
As the Strategic Marketing Manager at OMEX you will be at the forefront of our marketing strategy, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive plans that elevate our brands and drive business growth. Core responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement successful marketing strategies, in collaboration with the Business Growth Director, to promote OMEX products that align with our strategic goals.
- Lead go-to-market strategy and marketing projects from concept and execution (e.g. for new product launches).
- Maintain a strong understanding of the OMEX product range, particularly understanding benefits versus competitive products.
- Champion brand development across bulk fertilisers and specialities delivering key brand messages across all channels, from digital to in-field communications.
- Act as a brand ambassador across the OMEX group.
- Conduct in-depth market, customer, and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Plan, manage and optimise value propositions and multi- channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, content marketing, email and events to increase brand awareness and drive product adoption.
- Analyse campaign performance and make data driven recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the creation of high-quality content for our brochures, newsletters, press releases and technical updates that resonates with our target audience.
- Develop and lead the strategy for OMEX website and social media, SEO best practice.
- Planning events/ trade shows, taking responsibility for promotional materials and displays.
- Manage the marketing budget and track ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends including regulatory changes, sustainability trends, and digital ag innovations.
- Management of external marketing agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media and marketing stakeholders in our industry.
- Collaborate closely with merchants, agronomists, product development, and sales teams to ensure market needs are reflected in marketing strategy.
What experience you’ll need to apply
- Proven track record as a Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager or similar – combining excellent strategy with great delivery (marketing project management) skills.
- Experience of product marketing / product launches and go-to-market strategy.
- Experience in Agriculture, Food or Chemical Manufacturing industries
- Excellent digital marketing skills across website best practice, content, SEO, email, and social media.
- PR and Communications experience – preferably relating to food and/or agriculture
- Experience planning for events and producing physical materials
- Able to think about B2B marketing in a B2C way – farmers are heavily influence by consumers who buy their products, consumer insight will drive the marketing strategy.
