✨ In the tech industry, many leaders are promoted into management roles after performing really well in their technical role. But leading a team requires a very different skillset – and many leaders are expected to figure it out without much guidance or training.
The result is often that leaders feel responsible for solving every problem, making every decision, and holding everything together.
But high-performing teams don’t depend on leaders for all the answers. They thrive when people feel confident thinking for themselves.
In this interactive 45-minute session, Bianca Spruit will share a practical approach to empowering conversations that help leaders shift from being the problem-solver to developing confident problem-solvers within their teams.
Participants will learn how to:
Move from solving problems to developing independent thinkers
Ask questions that build ownership and stronger decision-making
Build inclusive, psychologically safe teams, encouraging open contribution
Scale their leadership impact by enabling others to step up
Through practical exercises and reflection, participants will leave with a simple conversational tool they can start using immediately to help their teams take more ownership, make better decisions, and grow in confidence.
🎙️ About Bianca Spruit, Leadership Consultant & Coach
Bianca is a leadership coach and former tech leader with over 20 years of experience working in the technology industry. Through her company, Sprout Coaching, she helps leaders build high-performing, happy teams by developing the skills, mindset, and confidence to lead through coaching rather than control.
Like many people in tech, Bianca was promoted into leadership because she was good at her job – not because she had the training or experience to lead a team. She quickly discovered that managing people requires a completely different set of skills.
After experiencing both great and challenging leadership environments, Bianca began exploring coaching as a leadership approach. By learning how to have empowering conversations rather than solving every problem herself, her team became more confident, took greater ownership, and delivered stronger results.
Today she works with leaders and organisations to build cultures where people feel trusted, capable, and motivated to do their best work.
