Data Analyst (Forecasting & Modelling)

We’re looking for a Data Analyst/Econometrician to join a growing Data & Insight team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining data analysis, forecasting and commercial thinking to solve real business problems. You’ll work with an established insight function, helping to create meaningful analysis, improve forecasting capability and turn complex data into clear recommendations that support decision making across the business and its clients.
 
What you’ll be doing
As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing forecasting and econometric models that are key to the organisation’s insight offering. You’ll analyse large and varied datasets, identify trends and drivers, and help build a stronger understanding of future market performance.
 
You’ll work across a broad range of analytical projects including forecasting, benchmarking, market analysis and performance reporting. This role is about more than producing numbers. You’ll be expected to interpret findings, spot opportunities for improvement and communicate complex insights in a way that non-technical audiences can easily understand.
 
The team is keen to bring in someone who will offer a fresh perspective, challenge assumptions and identify smarter ways of working. In this role, you’ll also contribute to improving processes, increasing efficiency and helping future proof the team’s analytical capability. Sound like you?
 
What experience you’ll need to apply

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Econometrician or similar role focusing on quantitative and forecasting projects as outlined above
• Strong experience working with forecasting models, statistical analysis and quantitative research
• Experience using SQL and either Python, R or SPSS
• Strong experience building, maintaining or interpreting forecasting models
• Excellent statistical and analytical skills (ideally including regression analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling)
• Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources
• Ability to explain complex analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders and experience presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge thinking and influence decisions
• Strong attention to detail and analytical attention
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau would be beneficial
• Experience within financial services, commercial analytics, consulting or research environments would be advantageous

This role offers a base salary of up to £50,000-60,000 depending on experience, alongside a flexible remote first working environment with monthly office visits.
