Product & Innovation Manager

  • Join a fast-growing, mission-driven technology company tackling one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges.
  • Play a key role in shaping both current products and next-generation solutions at a critical stage of growth.
  • Combine hands-on technical work, product thinking, and innovation within a collaborative, close-knit team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-to-growth-stage business developing advanced industrial technology with a strong sustainability focus. Backed by recent investment and entering a major phase of product evolution, the business is scaling its technology and exploring new applications.
You’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and innovation working to optimise existing systems while helping define and validate future technology opportunities. The role offers exposure across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to real world deployment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support performance improvement initiatives across existing technology platforms, using data, trials, and operational insights to drive optimisation.
  • Work cross-functionally to translate customer feedback and field performance into tangible product improvements.
  • Contribute to the identification, evaluation, and development of next-generation technology opportunities.
  • Carry out market, customer, and competitor analysis to inform product and innovation strategy.
  • Assist with the development of early-stage concepts, technical proposals, and business cases.
  • Coordinate and support pilot trials and prototype validation activities, collecting data and assessing feasibility.
  • Engage with external partners, suppliers, and collaborators to support innovation projects.
  • Help build and manage a structured pipeline of product improvements and new ideas.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and priorities clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What experience you’ll need to apply:

  • A degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering or similar ideally).
  • Experience in product development, product management, innovation, or a technical engineering-focused role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience using operational, technical, or customer data to support decisions.
  • Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

Desirable:

  • Experience in sustainability, industrial processing, environmental technology, or related sectors.
  • Exposure to pilot programmes, trials, or scaling technology from concept to deployment.
  • Commercial awareness, including contributing to business cases or product strategy.
  • Understanding of industrial systems, process engineering, or operational environments.

What you’ll get in return for your experience:

  • The opportunity to shape innovative technology with real-world environmental impact.
  • Broad exposure across product optimisation and next-generation development.
  • A collaborative, non-corporate environment with strong cross-functional learning.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility, plus occasional travel to sites and trials.
  • A chance to contribute meaningfully to sustainability and future technology direction.
  • Competitive salary + standard benefits.
