SEO Strategist

We are looking for an SEO Strategist to join a super exciting and specialist agency based in Bristol. You’ll be joining a team of performance specialists to lead SEO activity for a variety of clients including in the eCommerce, travel and B2B sectors. As SEO Strategist, you’ll be developing and executing SEO activities across the four pillars of SEO, technical, content, authority and experience. This role is client facing, and will require someone who is analytical minded with strong reporting skills and a passion for results! What you’ll be doing

• Leading and training junior and mid-level staff on SEO, Search, and Analytics best practices.
• Providing thought leadership and process improvement initiatives, working closely with the Digital Director.
• Directing the strategic direction of Search and Analytics for key clients.
• Staying updated on industry changes and trends.
• Mentoring team members on best practices and strategies.
• Prioritizing efforts to deliver impactful tasks for clients.
• Collaborating with partners like Google, BrightEdge, SEMrush, and Conductor.
• Nurturing client relationships.
• Conducting annual reviews and setting development goals for team members.
• Overseeing onboarding of high-profile accounts and marketing strategy.
• Identifying and bringing on new talent and service partners.
• Selecting and adopting new marketing technologies for clients.
• Supporting pitch team in building performance marketing solutions.

Experience you’ll need

• Experience in a similar SEO Strategy position focused on all aspects of SEO (technical, content, authority and experience). Proven ability to lead the strategy and service within an agency environment.
• Previous line management experience including for junior and mid-level team members, training and mentoring teams with their professional growth.
• Strong experience Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Concole, and SEO Specific tools including SEMrush, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog etc.
• Basic HTML and CSS, ability to collaborate with technical teams on technical changes.
• Working knowledge of the wider Digital Marketing mix and how SEO is integrated.
• Proven ability to collaborate across all teams, both internal and externally.
• Experience in negotiating and managing budgets.
