Strategic Project Lead (Sustainability)

As the company grows, they are seeking a dynamic Strategic Project Lead to lead their sustainability efforts and contribute to their mission of being a leading voice in sustainability communications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As our Strategic Project Lead, you’ll lead our sustainability offer, collaborating closely with our corporate reporting and digital teams. You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of clients, guiding them in developing and implementing sustainability and ESG strategies aligned with their business goals and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and managing our team of sustainability consultants and copywriters, leading client meetings, developing thought leadership content, participating in new business activities, and representing the agency as an ambassador for sustainability at conferences and industry events.

What Experience You’ll Need to Apply:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role as either a Strategic Project Manager, Strategic Project Lead, Senior Sustainability Project Manager, Senior Project Consulant or Senior Sustainability Project Consultant.
• Must have experience in either a agency or consultancy environment.
• Proven expertise in corporate sustainability issues, including advising on sustainability strategies, materiality assessments, and sustainability reporting.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and frameworks such as GRI, IIRC Framework, TCFD, TNFD, CSRD, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior client relationships and lead meetings effectively.
• Previous experience and desire to drive new business pitches from a sustainability angle.
• Established network within the sustainability community, including leaders, service providers, regulatory bodies, and academics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives.
• Highly organized with a strong client service ethic, adaptable to changing priorities, and a team player mindset.
