Resource Manager

We’re looking for a Resource Manager to join an established digital agency in central Bristol. You’ll be at the centre of agency life, bringing together people, projects and upcoming work to keep teams running smoothly. It’s a varied, hands-on role where you’ll know what’s happening across the business and have plenty of opportunity to make an impact.

What you’ll be doing
As Resource Manager, you’ll oversee who is working where, what’s coming up and where teams may need additional support. You’ll work closely with senior people across delivery, client services and the wider agency to plan ahead and keep projects properly supported.

You’ll manage changing priorities, spot potential clashes early and help find sensible solutions when several projects need the same people. You’ll also bring in freelance or contract support when required and build good relationships with the agency’s external network.

This isn’t just about maintaining a schedule. You’ll use information from across the business to help people make better decisions and have the opportunity to improve the systems and ways of working behind the function.

What experience you’ll need to apply

• Experience in a similar role; whether that’s as a Resource Manager, Studio Manager, Traffic Manager, Resource Coordinator or Operations Manager.
• Experience organising people across multiple projects and changing deadlines.
• Previous experience within a digital, creative, technology or other project-based agency environment.
• Comfortable working with different teams and balancing multiple requests.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how staffing decisions affect project costs and profitability.
• Experience working with freelancers, contractors or other external specialists.
• Comfortable working with data and turning it into useful information for the wider business.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience making processes or internal systems work better would be a real plus.
• An interest in using AI or automation to make day-to-day operations more efficient would be beneficial.
