    Senior Systems Engineer Working in a highly skilled specialist team, on a high value and leading product line   Key role working within a multi-disciplinary team Remote working 2/3 days a week Working within the development and debugging stage of next generation scientific equipment  Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing team focussed on developing the next generation of scientific equipment. The company build some extremely progressive products used by Scientists, engineers, and academia from around the world.  Experience/Skills you need: Systems Engineering background Ability to draw systems diagrams MATLAB, Python, C# or similar Experimental techniques and mathematical modelling Hands on diagnostic and interrogation Problem solving/R D focussed What you will be doing: The Senior Systems role will work as the bridge between the science, engineering and manufacturing teams, to help deliver the next generation of products in this section of the business.  You will split your time between hands on diagnostics/debugging and development of systems, with a mechanical focus and working with suppliers and customers to overcome problems. The products value between £70,000 and £100,000 with a £10m annual value to the company. With a HQ in Bromsgrove and a global reach across France, Germany, Cairo and more, this culture-driven business are looking for someone to join a small team with lots of autonomy and control over technical direction and wider development strategy.  What experience you’ll need Proven experience in the MS stack; ASP.Net, VB.Net, Web/Windows Services, Entity Framework.  Any knowledge if C# / .Net Core would be great; you’ll help to implement it.  Understanding of SQL, PL/SQL and Oracles databases (SQL essential, Oracle nice-to-have).  Awareness of REST/SOAP, 3rd party APIs.  Working knowledge of TFS/Git or similar for documentation.  Deadline-driven with ability to work on concurrent projects at a fast pace.  What you’ll be doing Historically the team have used outsourced services and contractors for most of their IT. Over the last few years they’ve built up permanent resource and are now looking to complete their transformation by bringing in their first in-house Dev. The aim is to modernise the code within their systems (there’s 10-12 legacy apps) which currently use .Net into an Oracle/SQL database. They’d like this person to lead the introduction of new tools and frameworks (including things like C# and .Net Core), re-writing certain aspects and optimising code where necessary. The apps all work functionally but have some slight performance issues in an older codebase, so you’ll be responsible for bringing this up to date and documenting your work concisely for future hires. Employee-owned business with international trips to live sporting events.  Big focus on R&D with new & emerging tech constantly being integrated.  I’m helping a creative software media company to find a Front-End Engineer to join their Malvern-based team. The business specialise in providing broadcast graphics solutions to televised sports and live entertainment events, with their work being seen by viewers and fans across the globe. They work with a prestigious client base of TV productions which includes The Ryder Cup, Euroleague Basketball and more.  What experience you’ll need Proven front-end capability, skilled in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.  Experience with Angular (v2-11) and TypeScript, or a willingness to learn them. Knowledge of data-driven applications, HTTP API route integrations.  Real-time web application development experience would be preferred.  Understanding of MS SQL, NoSQL and/or MongoDB.  Awareness of UI/UX design principles.  Any knowledge of server-side development, preferably NodeJS, would be beneficial.  What you’ll be doing The digital team is made up of five Developers and a Designer which you’ll embed into. Your focus will vary between production and R&D applications, developing real-time web apps with a focus on front-end and UI, occasionally delving into the server-side when interacting with hardware elements of their service offering. They have a variety of systems using different tech; some are on earlier versions of Angular whereas some are using the latest release. Most apps are data-driven and involve working on websockets/socket.io/signalR so you’ll need to be comfortable with this. You’ll have the chance to see the work you produce come to life as it will be used in live TV productions across the world.
