    Senior DevOps Engineer

Their main goal is to deliver enterprise-ready voice assistants that match and excel household names.  They are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer to join their DevOps team who will help to support their innovative conversational AI products. What you'll be doing: Your responsibilities will involve managing and upgrading cloud infrastructure for their products and the Engineering team. Over the next 12 months, this will include: Building, configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructure for new and existing clients, working with the rest of the team to shape the next generation of conversation products. Configuring and maintaining development infrastructure, working with software engineers to build “DevOps best practice” and efficient processes. Monitoring and updating their infrastructure to ensure it stays secure and scales with the demands of a growing company. Being part of their on-call rota to support our engineering systems. What experience you will need to apply:   3-5 years of previous commercial Devops experience. Knowledge of AWS Cloud tooling with experience of building modern and secure commercial deployments. Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible. Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Experience administering Kubernetes clusters and awareness of Serverless technology. Wider experience with other cloud services such as GCP, Azure. My client has aspirations of being the world’s leading Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure provider. The industry is estimated to reach US$115 billion annually by 2035 with ground infrastructure being a critical enabler. No other infrastructure manufacturer will give you the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s leading electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft manufacturers. They are looking for a Software Engineer to join the CTO & Tech Lead and help us not only build a world-leading product but a world leading organisation. They are a small, highly capable and motivated team. You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day coding. You will have the opportunity to support our sites and partners all around the world by building highly-available & secure API integration's. What you'll be doing: Be responsible for the development of some of the core software platforms across the drone services business. Be responsible for translating customer requirements to a software solution architecture and managing the execution on the design together with our software development partners. You will work closely with your colleagues in their IT team to streamline solutions across the business and leverage our joint IT infrastructure. What experience you'll need to apply:   Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure IOT Hub - an ability to develop solutions in a cloud environment is important. Micro-services development in Python and Go. Because our services integrate systems across a global supply chain, building scalable and secure REST & gRPC APIs is critical. Middleware technologies including MQTT and AMQP are also hot on their radar! We will be generating an enormous amount of product data so technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache HBase, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, SQL/No SQL operational databases are critical.     Gain exposure to the Crypto space.  Work on an API that gets over 400 million calls per day from 5 million unique users.  Fully Remote opportunity.  Do you want to work for a global leader in digital asset data providing institutional and retail investors with real-time and historical data spanning 5,000 coins and 250,000 currency pairs. By aggregating and analysing tick data from globally recognised exchanges and seamlessly integrating multiple datasets, they offer a comprehensive, granular overview of the market across trade, order book, historical, social and blockchain data.What you'll be doing:They are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their data API & Streaming engineering team, working closely with their Chief Technical Officer and Senior Product Managers. Working on their systems will give you exposure to a high throughput (400 million calls per day from 5 million unique users) API, high throughput websocket based streaming and the ability to directly take feedback & work with users of the system. They are currently undergoing a platform upgrade to provide a range of new data feeds and extended metrics to our users which you would work on in this role - so it is a great time to get involved! Your day to day will include: Designing and implementing highly available, fault tolerant APIs. Working in close collaboration with infrastructure and data processing teams. Taking ownership of key technology decisions, building for scale and optimising for throughput. Conducting code reviews and continuously look at ways of improving our ways of working. Creating detailed internal documentation for the systems you work on. What experience you'll need to apply:They'd love to hear from you if you have expereince in the following -  Backend API service development. Backend Node.js or a strong desire to transition into it. RESTful services. Relational and non-relational database structures (we use Postgres & Redis).
