What you’ll be doing
Overseeing the Embedded Systems architecture.
Designing and developing embedded firmware for the microcontroller and embedded microprocessor-based systems.
Collaboratively working with multidisciplinary Hardware, R&D, QA and Software teams to a scalable IOT system.
Developing the application lifecycle, including documenting, coding, testing, debugging and supporting various features.
Using an Agile approach to write reliable, and sufficient codes.
Interfacing with low-level sensors and peripherals connected on I2C and SPI buses.
Debugging and fixing hardware/software issues in MCU based systems.
Preparing engineering specifications and documentation.
What experience you’ll need to apply
Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering with industry experience as Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer.
Proficiency in C/C /Python programming with experience in MCUs and embedded system design and development (knowledge of Eval boards and Kits).
Experience in debugging embedded Linux and Arduino based systems and microcontroller peripherals including I2C/SMB, SPI, UART, ADC and DAC.
Understanding of ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4, STM32, and ARM microcontrollers.
Experience with wireless communication techniques and associated protocols such as LoRaWAN, WiFi, BLE >4, or cellular communication (LTE and GSM).
Knowledge of low power design practices for battery powered devices and optimizing power consumption for long lasting devices.
Familiarity with networking connectivity protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, MQTT, AMQP.
Prior experience with JSON or XML for services such as AWS IoT, Azure, JIRA or similar.
Unit testing experience with pytest, Unity, CMock, and/or Ceedling.
