We are looking for a Solutions Architect with a background in software engineering to take on a new role within the business, this is a blank canvas opportunity. What you’ll be doing As Solutions Architect you will be reporting into the Head of Architecture and working very closely with cross-functional teams on the technical direction of the business. You will play a big part in the planning and contribute ideas to the teams and work collaboratively. The Solutions Architect will be working closely with the product teams and guide the implementation of the architecture whilst defining and owning the technical strategy and vison of the business. What skills you’ll be needing   Strong technical background with experience designing and architecting solutions. Domain-Driven Design. Familiar working in an Agile environment. Ability to work collaboratively. Highly analytical and ability to understand complex IT solutions. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.     Technical Architect

Play a lead role in a Greenfield project for one of their partners.  Build and scale SaaS products, lead on proposals and system architecture.  A world-leading digital learning provider with an impressive client base of household brands is looking for a Technical Architect to join them as they look to build out a new capability offering for one of their partners in the wider group.Their solution offering makes real-life differences to people everywhere, providing pivotal changes to the way people think and learn. They’ve been connected to training projects that have gone on to win a Nobel Prize!  What experience you’ll need Proven application & infrastructure architecture, preferably in a SaaS background.  Track record in cloud-based solution architecture, ideally MS Azure.  Product-first mentality.  Knowledge of building and scaling high-availability systems.  Senior stakeholder engagement capability. Skilled in overseeing development processes, suggesting improvements and techniques.  RESTful API design & assurance, coding skills, documentation of (non)functional requirements for products.  Awareness of CI/CD and architectural design.  What you’ll be doing This is an important role with several hats. The business is building a brand-new team to support a partner within their wider group (in the Utilities domain). This requires someone to bridge the gap between what they should and shouldn’t be selling, leading on proposals and liaising with key senior stakeholders to scope out requirements before architecting a solution offering, then building and scaling it. You’ll be defining the work and investigating best approach for the engineering team to take, advising on best practice and techniques, dev environment and anything in between. You’ll be involved in identifying opportunities for system improvements and driving digital innovation, taking accountability for the system improvement roadmap and working closely with the product team to schedule and deliver it. As a Senior Developer you will support the development, maintenance and support of project and client facing tools and services for their clients. These tools will create use case wrappers for our developing global project data and design automation platforms.  What you'll be doing:You will be working in a small, geographically dispersed, agile development team with colleagues of various digital skills, including UX design, frontend & backend development and software architecture. You will also be expected to work closely with our software development leadership across the business to drive consistency in development practice, knowledge sharing mentoring and staff development.  You will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting high quality software as part of an agile team. You will be accountable for significant and complex software development activities.  This will require you to be responsible for predicting and planning your work and coordinating efforts with other team members. You will take a longer term strategic view of the business and contribute to their digital development plan. You will be responsible for the performance and development of others.  This would require you to provide guidance, mentoring, training, motivation and direction to staff, some of which have developed through a hybrid route of building engineering and digital development. What experience you will need to apply:You will have extensive knowledge of specialist areas and keeps up to date with current industry information and own knowledge and skills. Whilst also contributing to the development of others through sharing expertise, demonstrates design/supervisory experience.
