    VP of Hardware

      London location Hands on Electronics Hardware focussed role Sustainable and innovative technology Our client is looking for VP of Hardware to lead the hands on development of EV charging equipment. The company is looking to upscale output and the role will have one direct report initially, but with exciting growth plans, this number is expected to rise as the year goes on. The company is 10 strong at the moment, so the VP of Hardware will be expected to work well in a small team and contribute to decisions beyond their normal work remit.   What experience/skills you will need: Schematic Design Firmware design/development System Design/system architecture layout Worked with consumer electronics PCB Layouts Digital and analog circuits design and test Prototype simulation   The Role: You will work on the design and development all hardware related systems for cutting edge EV charging technology. You will be extremely hands on and will across R+D projects and full scale manufacturing. This is an important position for the business as you will shape processes, infrastructure, team, sustainability, scale, and efficiency.    What you’ll be doing As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible to scale up the manufacturing & remanufacturing operations and take charge of innovation. You will need to identify and implement improvements to the process which includes intake, WMS, diagnostics, grading, repairs, specification upgrades, and quality assurance.   What experience you’ll need to apply Extensive experience working in manufacturing and currently in a Lead position. Successful track record with integrating new technology to remove barriers and enable day-to-day productivity improvements. Designing and implementing production scheduling, inventory management, continuous improvement, and standardised work procedures. A background in electrical or electronics.       Varied and technical project management across a diverse range of industries Working in a highly experienced team, with a view to build and develop your current experience Competitive remuneration package Based near Burnley, Lancashire   Our client is looking for a junior level Project Manager to join a highly skilled team, working across Agrochemical, Paints/Inks, Medical, Pharma, Food/Drinks, Cosmetics, Chemical industries. The company are looking for someone with experience after graduating from a relevant engineering discipline (typically Chemical or Mechanical degrees fair well in this role). They can be flexible on the type of post graduate experience, as long as the candidate has a strong manufacturing process understanding. The role will be 50% office based 50% site, with about 80% of your site work in the UK and the rest overseas.   What you will need: Relevant Engineering degree (typically Chemical or Mechanical) or equivalent Experience with manufacturing processes Confident liaising with internal design teams, clients and sub contracted installation teams Flexible for stay away and occasional weekend work (£100 day allowance for work away and time off in lieu for days worked on a weekend)   What you will be doing: The role will be technically varied and involve a mixture of site-based management of the install and commissioning of process machinery for a variety of manufacturing industries. You will work closely and manage a team of sub-contracted engineers on site, to ensure the successful installation of process machinery. The projects will be varied but can be worth up to several million pounds.
