Joining an established team of 8 within eCommerce, you'll report into the eCommerce Manager and work alongside other Online Merchandisers to optimise the overall customer journey. What categories are doing well, and which products are underperforming - and why is that? Youll have a real curiosity in diving into customer data and using this to drive overall strategy. More senior members will be comfortable discussing weekly and monthly performance with stakeholders across the business.  What experience you'll need Online merchandising experience from an eCommerce setting.  Given the close attention to data in both roles, someone who is really confident in managing spreadsheets and using this to handle data is key (the team love a good spreadsheet!). What you'll be doing Reporting into the Head of Digital, your role will have the scope to shape the site based on your recommendations and drive the strategy, with support in the form of an overarching plan.As mentioned above, the role is a broad one working across all areas of the customer journey, working alongside agencies and the wider eCommerce team to analyse and report on campaigns, driving growth. This is a hugely exciting element of the role to retain the wider control from a more strategic standpoint. You will be able to use your strong analytical skills to translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations to improve sales, user experience and brand awareness.This is a hugely exciting role where you can have input on the site from day one, but also a strong brand backing.  What experience you’ll need Excellent track record in eCommerce channel management (Optimisation, Account management and eCommerce). Demonstrable management of Digital Acquisition Strategies (SEO/SEM/Email/Social/PPC). Proven ability to drive strategy and manage both web development and digital marketing. This hugely successful, multi-channel retailer is going from strength to strength, and the eCommerce team in particular is growing at a good pace, providing you with the opportunity to expand your digital skills and progress your online trading career. What you'll be doing This role sits within the Multichannel team and the Online Trader is responsible for delivering against revenue targets and KPIs in all online trading related tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of single product categories, and ultimately maximising sales across all digital channels. Working closely with the Buying, Merchandising and retail teams you will maximise sales and enhance the product offer. With your strong commercial awareness, you will have a good understanding of online and multichannel buying behaviour and the competitive landscape, which will enable you to develop and optimise the customer experience. You will own the day to day trading for a specific product category, maximise and deliver commercial performance against revenue and margin targets using web analytics data on traffic, conversions and order value to drive actionable insight and measurable improvements. Ensure you meet category targets for sales, conversion, basket abandonment and average order value.You'll liaise with the tech team on the development of the trading and CRO testing plan for your category. Measuring and analysing sales and category performance on a regular basis with a focus on development to the website and product merchandising techniques and promotions.What experience you'll need to apply Experience within a similar eCommerce role is advantageous. Commercially-minded with a Trading mentality. Numerate with good analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills. Familiarity with online trading tools and technology would be a bonus (used for website merchandising and management). Strong Excel skills are preferred.
