Here is a truly unique opportunity to join a well funded, high growth, Mobile App based business in central Bristol as their new Digital Community Manager. There aren’t many roles like this, where you have the opportunity to build and engage with a community through predominantly digital channels, working across content strategy, social media, email, push notifications, understanding what the customers want and making real changes to improve the experience across the app.
What you’ll be doing
This is a hands on role that is as much about rolling up your sleeves, messaging and speaking with active users, as it is about setting the strategy, executing campaigns and optimising and analysing the results. The purpose of the role is to build an active community of gardening enthusiasts, encouraging people to share knowledge, ideas and experiences, and to interact with the app as the window in to this community.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about speaking with users, understanding what makes them tick, how and why they would use an exciting mobile app that provides knowledge, a social space, a marketplace and so much more. The role requires a level of understanding across qualitative and quantitative data, seeing trends, opportunities, tweaking and amending the way the app speaks to it’s users to see more and more engagement.
There is an element of test and learn with this role, it suits someone with a curiosity on how to make things better, someone willing to feedback to the wider team on what content works, what doesn’t, what users want to see, what more they want from the app, you are the eyes and ears on the ground and the conduit between the company and it’s customers.
You will look at ways of automating communication, through chatbots, push notifications and email, ways to improve the usability of the app, provide creative input, utilising A/B testing to understand the most effective method of delivery, and ensuring a great user experience whenever the app is used.
What experience you’ll need to apply
An interest in developing an online community
Previous experience with digital marketing, especially social media and email
Analytical, able to understand data and trends
A problem solver, curious, always striving to innovate campaigns and engage with users
