A friendly and collaborative working environment too, where everyone is really passionate about eCommerce and Digital. What youll be doingThe roles will vary depending on your level of experience, however both are hands-on so there are some elements where similar skills are required. Joining an established team of 8 within eCommerce, youll report into the eCommerce Manager and work alongside other Online Merchandisers to optimise the overall customer journey. Being a pureplay this is massively important to the team, therefore really rewarding that your efforts to drive conversions will deliver significant commercial outcomes. There is a continual process of analysis and implementation in the Online Merchandising team. Youll ensure that the product imagery and text are correct, uploading content through the Magento CMS and writing SEO friendly product descriptions. Content writers are also on hand for bigger projects. This requires real attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple spreadsheets to organise your categories effectively. The more strategic aspect of this role, which will form a great element of the Senior eCommerce Merchandiser position, is the ability to draw insights from the analytics data on customer behaviour. What categories are doing well, and which products are underperforming - and why is that? Youll have a real curiosity in diving into customer data and using this to drive overall strategy. More senior members will be comfortable discussing weekly and monthly performance with stakeholders across the business. What experience youll need Online merchandising experience from an eCommerce setting.  Given the close attention to data in both roles, someone who is really confident in managing spreadsheets and using this to handle data is key (the team love a good spreadsheet!). Being comfortable with various formulae and techniques such as vlookups.  Fantastic attention to detail, especially with imagery and product descriptions.  Good commercial awareness and understanding of how eCommerce Merchandising impacts online turnover.  Excellent problem solving ability and a passion to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.  A massive passion for eCommerce! The role will cover the entire online customer journey, including PPC and SEO (agency support here), Email marketing, Social Media, Affiliates and any additional channels you bring in as part of your overarching strategy. For this position they are really looking for you to come in as the digital expert. Given you have agency and in-house support, while they are keen for the successful candidate to roll up their sleeves, it is more about having a strong analytical mindset. Using customer data to draw insights on where the site can be improved, and bringing this into your strategy along with your experience in digital marketing. Hands-on and strategic role.  Flexible working is considered. A pivotal role within this thriving, multi-channel retailer, the eCommerce Manager is responsible for the trading performance and customer experience of the website. The site is seeing growth, but the business is now seeking an experienced eCommerce expert who would relish the opportunity to focus on delivering substantial growth through this channel. What youll be doing The eCommerce Manager will own all aspects of the website experience, and be responsible for delivering against targets and managing budgets. Day to day, youll need to be both strategic and hands-on; from implementing PPC & SEO campaigns, managing online content, and using Google Analytics to continuously improve the customer journey, to identifying and recommending a new site platform to take the eCommerce proposition to the next level. Youll use your commercial mind-set to deliver a winning trading strategy which drives online conversion rates, and provide relevant insights to the wider business on performance and customer response to trade initiatives. A large part of your role will involve working with and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
