    Head of Digital Marketing - eCommerce

    Ownership of performance marketing strategy.  Opportunity to lead a team.  Thriving multi-channel business.  My client is a successful, multi-channel retailer in a thriving industry. They’re looking for an experienced Head of Digital Marketing to drive their digital performance across multiple channels. This opportunity can be based either in the Gloucestershire HQ or in central London with travel once a week to the HQ, on either a permanent or contract basis. What you’ll be doing In this role, you'll oversee the digital marketing strategy for four distinct brands across PPC, SEO, Display, Retargeting, Affiliate and Paid Social channels. Reporting into the Director of eCommerce, you'll have a direct team of 3 under you, external agencies and suppliers to manage as well as responsibility for a 7-figure budget. Driving trading performance growth and continually working to improve the return on digital investment, you will ensure the budget is maximised across all channels and new technologies are being utilised. Collaborating with internal teams including online merchandising, trading, studio and more, you will be measured on web traffic from digital channels, online conversion and ROI as well as market share and new customer outreach. What experience you’ll need to apply Detailed understanding of digital and in particular performance marketing. Track record of success in a fast paced environment. Strong head for numbers, able to pull and manipulate data from multiple sources to provide valuable insight. High level of proficiency and hands on experience in the following: Google Analytics, Adwords, Microsoft Excel. Effective management of external agencies is essential, experience reviewing these and running tenders would be desirable. Confidence to successfully manage and influence multiple stakeholder relationships. Experience managing and developing teams to their full potential, with a naturally collaborative approach. Ability to balance customer and commercials, with a results driven mindset.     Application Support Engineer (Oracle PL/SQL)

Following a recent acquisition, the business is moving from strength-to-strength at pace, with extensive growth plans in place and very good scope for internal progression and personal development.  What skills you’ll need Background in application support up to code level fixes with a strong understanding of the full SDLC.  Proven experience with Oracle PL/SQL. Any SQL Server experience is a plus.   Significant knowledge of configuration changes, release coordination and documentation.  Financial services background, ideally working with General Insurance and Policy Systems. Any knowledge of the MS stack (.Net, Azure) would be highly beneficial but not essential.  Ability to be business-facing, good level of communication skills.  What you’ll be doing  You will work very closely with the Application Owner to act as the SME for various systems, including a General Insurance Policy System and a Common Policy Database for the business’ product offering. You will champion all configuration changes and look after adjustments to the Oracle PL/SQL database, as well as producing quality documentation using information gathered from internal liaison with the development team. This is very much a business-facing role with lots of internal customer engagement which will be coupled with your technical aptitude; you’ll be answering questions on-site and offering support to other teams where necessary.     Android Engineer (Java, Kotlin)

Scalable mobile application with 1m+ monthly users.  A progressive mobile start-up with aggressive growth plans are looking for a front-end leaning Android Engineer to join their team in East London. The business has built an innovative mobile app which offers a range of monetisation solutions to support their various partners to drive revenue, increase engagement and decrease overall churn. Today they operate across 4 continents, have 12 apps in market, c6000 daily users and around 1.8 million monthly users, which only continues to expand.  What skills you’ll need Proven background in full-stack Android Engineering. Full-Stack experience with a passion for high-level front-end and usability. Significant commercial knowledge of Java Android and Kotlin. .  Good understanding of unit testing & test automation.  Awareness of continuous integration/deployment (Jenkins or similar).  Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment with fortnightly sprints & daily stand-ups.  Any contribution to apps in Google Play Store would be beneficial.  Any knowledge of things like Python, Golang, Retrofit, Dagger or RXJava would be useful, but by no means essential. What you’ll be doing  Working alongside 2 other Android Engineers and the Product Manager you will take responsibility for the development & maintenance of several Android applications, primarily focusing on the front-end aspect and looking to improve overall usability standards. Though this role is front-end leaning there will still be a good element of back-end involved, so you will need to offer full-stack expertise in order to hit the ground running. There’s a mixture of Greenfield & on-going projects to get involved in, the main focus being a large-scale migration from Java to Kotlin. It’s expected that you will look after unit testing & automation, as well as getting involved in daily stand-ups and fortnightly sprints. Overall there are three core products, two of which are on the same codebase with the third differing slightly, so there will be a lot of variety and constant exposure to new & emerging tech.
