Theyre looking for a digitally savvy Marketer to come in and take charge of the direct eCommerce offering, so a great opportunity to have autonomy from day one and grow your career with the business. What youll be doingReporting into the Head of Marketing and working with 2 Digital Marketing Executives, youll handle all aspects of online sales to further develop the eCommerce function within the business. The role will cover the entire online customer journey, including PPC and SEO (agency support here), Email marketing, Social Media, Affiliates and any additional channels you bring in as part of your overarching strategy. For this position they are really looking for you to come in as the digital expert. Given you have agency and in-house support, while they are keen for the successful candidate to roll up their sleeves, it is more about having a strong analytical mindset. Using customer data to draw insights on where the site can be improved, and bringing this into your strategy along with your experience in digital marketing. Hands-on and strategic role.  Flexible working is considered. A pivotal role within this thriving, multi-channel retailer, the eCommerce Manager is responsible for the trading performance and customer experience of the website. The site is seeing growth, but the business is now seeking an experienced eCommerce expert who would relish the opportunity to focus on delivering substantial growth through this channel. What youll be doing The eCommerce Manager will own all aspects of the website experience, and be responsible for delivering against targets and managing budgets. Day to day, youll need to be both strategic and hands-on; from implementing PPC & SEO campaigns, managing online content, and using Google Analytics to continuously improve the customer journey, to identifying and recommending a new site platform to take the eCommerce proposition to the next level. Youll use your commercial mind-set to deliver a winning trading strategy which drives online conversion rates, and provide relevant insights to the wider business on performance and customer response to trade initiatives. A large part of your role will involve working with and communicating effectively with stakeholders. Key understanding of web analytics; tools, reporting and insights.   Experience of optimising websites for good SEO performance.  Strong commercial acumen; a hunger to identify opportunities to improve performance and overall online sales growth Experience of content management, social media and copywriting with an attention to detail A credible, confident approach to problem solving. You will be responsible for driving their B2C online growth through management and development the website, and providing a stable online platform for all channels to ensure maximum conversion. What you'll be doing This is a new role for the business, which is at a pivotal point in their growth plans, so you'll have the opportunity to really take ownership of the online channels and make your mark. With control over the eCommere budget, your key remit is to assess the current strategy and put together a successful plan for the team to implement. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure that the marketing strategy and campaigns are executed effectively across all channels. In a similar vein, you'll manage the digital agency to develop and deliver the digital marketing strategy, reporting on KPIs and sharing insights to optimise traffic and conversion. Maintaining a customer-centric user experience is of paramount importance, in addition to ensuring consistency of the brand image, therefore a key element of this role is site merchandising and managing web developments and integrations. You'll also work with the Buying team to check that product descriptions are correct and support SEO, as well as with the operations department on logistics and stock availability to find commercial solutions that meet customer needs.The IT team will assist you in keeping the website functionality is in line with all in-house and external security measures, and that all processes are GDPR compliant, particularly in relation to the customer database. Finally, you will consistently identify opportunities and activity to support the growth of online channels, reporting monthly on this to Senior Management, in addition to managing the digital channel attributions reports. What experience you'll need to apply Experience managing an eCommerce website end-to-end. B2C retail experience. Experience using Shopify/Plus is preferable.  Strong numeracy and analytical skills.  Experience using the full Google suite - Google Analytics is essential.  Experience in developing digital marketing strategies Technically minded with a customer focused approach  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Experience managing external agencies. What you'll get in return for your experience  A salary of £50-60k is on offer, dependent on experience.
