    Senior Ecommerce & Marketing Executive

    Opportunity to shape digital strategy.  Successful retail business with ambitious growth plans.  Supportive and friendly culture.  This is an exciting new role in the Marketing team.  Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager and working closely with the Digital Project Manager (DPM) and the Campaigns Team, your role is to exploit digital channel by developing, reviewing and constantly optimising the website. This role will initially focus on the successful launch of a new website and will then widen to include other digital initiatives and channels.  What you’ll be doing Experienced in using analytics and A/B testing to drive actionable insight, your time will initially focus on successful customer adoption of a new website and constant improvement of this to achieve key launch KPI’s. Once launched, you will quickly move onto ongoing optimisation of the site for key customer journeys and on-site goals, testing any enhancements and fixes and identifying further improvements based on on-site customer behaviour. There is a programme of further website development work planned and you will use insight and analytics to make recommendations, challenge and refine proposals.  With a successful track record in customer acquisition you will propose and implement a plan with the potential to cover SEO, influencer marketing, online advertising and/or lead capture where there is a clear commercial benefit.  Supported by the Campaigns team for any content requirements for your digital plans, you will work collaboratively with them, sharing best practice and briefing on content requirements to achieve your goals. Furthermore, this business is keen to stay ahead of the curve in their use of digital, so you will be alert to new technologies and opportunities that will help them achieve its growth targets and strategic aims.  What experience you’ll need to apply Demonstrable success within a similar Digital Marketing or eCommerce role.   Experience using analytics tools and testing to optimise a website and drive conversions.  An understanding of digital acquisition channels such as SEO and PPC.  Customer-centric approach and excellent communications skills.  Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise large projects and foresee problems before they arise. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to logically.     Marketing Communications Executive

Elements of creative, analytics, digital and communications.  Well established team with heaps of progression and development options available.  We are working with a very well know Financial Services client to appoint an experienced marketing communications executive into the communications and customer retentions team. We don’t need you to have previous financial services experience; although we do you need you to have really broad marketing communications skills and an interest in FS.   What you’ll be doing  As a Customer Communications Executive, you’ll be part of the team that focuses purely on customer communications and the retention of existing customers. The main focus of the team is to retain customers through cross-selling products and by getting honest and transparent communications out to them. Upon joining the team, you will spend 6 months with each manager to experience both elements of the communications cycle which will include a mix of new product launches, cross-selling of products and the nurturing and retention of customers.  Within the role, you’ll be using a range of tools to deliver the communications, some of them going out via Mail Chimp, various social media channels and also via display on the website. You will also be writing content with a ‘tone of voice’ suited to the FS sector and work closely with the wider team to ensure consistency across touchpoints. This is an excellent role for someone looking for career development in a challenging, yet very rewarding role.     Senior Application Support Engineer

Lots of autonomy, great scope for training & development. 30 days holiday and incredibly generous benefits.  A rapidly-expanding financial services company in Croydon are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to support the Leader of the Application Management team. Following a recent acquisition, the business is moving from strength-to-strength at pace, with extensive growth plans in place and very good scope for internal progression and personal development.  What skills you’ll need Background in application support with proven programming experience using Java/J2EE, and full understanding of the SDLC. Ability to provide analysis, testing & deployment capability across a multitude of systems.  Good understanding of Oracle or SQL. Knowledge of both would be really useful.   Solid experience using XML/SOAP for documentation. Any awareness of Git/JIRA/Confluence for version control would be advantageous.  Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills. Financial services domain experience would be handy, but isn’t a deal-breaker.  If you have any understanding of Guidewire, you’ll be top of the list! This is by no means essential though.  What you’ll be doing  Joining an application management team of 3, you will engage with end users to identify & report incidents, providing expert application support up to code level fixes. There is a multitude of systems to take care of, including an insurance platform, cost centre, billing centre & policy centre, so it’s expected that you’ll gain a functional understanding of the application as a whole to ensure efficient service is maintained at all times. You’ll be specifying, coding, testing & deploying various data/functional/technical fixes, as well as implementing continuous service improvement standards alongside the test of your team. There is a lot of autonomy in this role so self-starters are needed, you will also need a high level of communication skills as there will be a lot of internal customer engagement involved.
