This is a hugely exciting element of the role to retain the wider control from a more strategic standpoint. You will be able to use your strong analytical skills to translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations to improve sales, user experience and brand awareness.This is a hugely exciting role where you can have input on the site from day one, but also a strong brand backing. What experience you’ll need Excellent track record in eCommerce channel management (Optimisation, Account management and eCommerce). Demonstrable management of Digital Acquisition Strategies (SEO/SEM/Email/Social/PPC). Proven ability to drive strategy and manage both web development and digital marketing. Additionally, you will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of single product categories, and ultimately maximising sales across all digital channels. Working closely with the Buying, Merchandising and retail teams you will maximise sales and enhance the product offer. With your strong commercial awareness, you will have a good understanding of online and multichannel buying behaviour and the competitive landscape, which will enable you to develop and optimise the customer experience. You will own the day to day trading for a specific product category, maximise and deliver commercial performance against revenue and margin targets using web analytics data on traffic, conversions and order value to drive actionable insight and measurable improvements. Ensure you meet category targets for sales, conversion, basket abandonment and average order value.You'll liaise with the tech team on the development of the trading and CRO testing plan for your category. Measuring and analysing sales and category performance on a regular basis with a focus on development to the website and product merchandising techniques and promotions.What experience you'll need to apply Experience within a similar eCommerce role is advantageous. The eCommerce Trading Analyst will online performance through a combination of commercial analysis, actionable reporting and promotional planning. What you’ll be doingWhile this is an established brand, the team is still close knit with around 10 in the eCommerce function. Reporting into the Head of, your role will use eCommerce customer data to understand how the online customer journey can be improved. This will link very closely to online merchandising strategy, so having worked in a similar setting will really help. Additional responsibilities include driving promotions, keeping close to key metrics, and working with the wider team to ensure the strategy is consistent. This is very important as it’s a highly strategic role, where your insights will add value across the team. What experience you’ll need Working in a trading / eCommerce function.  Ideally an analytical role such as eCommerce Merchandiser or eCommerce Analyst.  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Analytics.  Analytical approach to breakdown customer data and draw inferences to tweak your campaigns.   Able to work well as part of a team and coordinate with other internal stakeholders. What you’ll get in return for your talentsThere is a competitive salary on offer of between £22-25k for this one.
