The business is expanding quickly; they’ve got a client list made up of some of the biggest names in consumer technology. What you’ll be doing Reporting in to the Head of Design, you’ll be working alongside fellow designers, copywriters and the wider marketing department to produce engaging creative communications for a wide range of well-established retailers. One day you could be supporting the marketing department with designing integrated collatoral to promote the business, the next you could be collaborating with the creative team to think up an internal brand to roll out content across various channels, including digital such as motion graphics. Ideally you’ve some integrated design experience, but if you’re a master of offline print then there will be opportunity to evolve your skills in to the digital space. We're looking for a designer who has an eye for creative branding, is confident taking briefs end-to-end, and is a master of typography and layout. What experience you’ll need At least some commercial experience, or a fantastic graduate. A portfolio full of integrated designs, including print through to artwork. This is an opportunity for a conceptual creative to get their teeth in to a broad role, being hands on with concepts, pitches and leading the creative for a team of marketing and PR professionals.  What you'll be doing Reporting into the Managing Director, you will lead on creative at the core of the agency, thinking up concepts for multi-channel campaigns and strategically planning suitable output. Producing comms for private and public sector clients, until now creative has been wide spread throughout the agency, but this is a brand new role to make your own, as the agency plans to drive more creative in-house.  You’ll be an ambassador for the business bringing ideas to life verbally in client pitches and bids, as well as in written copy. You will be a crucial member of the team, with the main function of managing bids and supporting the management of the project pipeline.   What you'll be doing You'll communicate intentions to bid with the Business Development Manager, review bid documentation, ensuring commercial and legislative requirements are met and participate in bid kick-off meetings. Other main components of your day to day will consist of Creating bespoke content, ensuring submissions are well written, challenging any content that falls short of the expected standard. A keen eye for detail is massively important within the role as well as being highly organised. As you will be assisting in the design and production of Client presentation material, a basic knowledge of InDesign is definitely a plus! You will support the pipeline by identifying leads, opportunities and bids, and use the CRM system to accurately record the bids and organise and lead bid touchdown meetings.   You will capture and share model answers and refined project descriptions, collate, share and disseminate best practice and lessons learned from bid feedback and attend bid coordinator team meetings to gain progress updates, maintain communication and ensure submission best practice. As you will be liaising with external and internal stakeholders, a confident communicative ability is essential within this role.   What experience you'll need to apply Previous marketing, business development and bid coordination experience. Strong copywriting and copy editing skills. Previous experience in coordinating and managing tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills. Confident, proactive character, with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations. Ability to problem solve and think on your feet. Excellent computer and IT skills including; Adobe Design Standard (InDesign specifically), Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of using spreadsheets and databases. Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
