    Lead Test Engineer

    — SAP, Salesforce

    Location:
Full Remote OR Malvern OR Bristol
    Type:
    Salary:
    £40K - £51K + bonus
World leading products. Flexible working hours, great progression and support. Implement automation!  A progressive tech company who build some seriously cool analytical & lab-based products is looking for a Lead Test Engineer join them as they look to further grow their technology function. Their products are used by Scientists and Engineers in a wide range of industries including healthcare, pharma, automotive, environmental and more. With a diverse project roadmap and rapid growth plans in place for 2021/22, this is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Lead Tester to work on rewarding projects that solve real-life challenges through the use of tech. What experience you’ll need Proven experience in automation test strategy and technical leadership.  Hands-on experience across manual & automated testing.  Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Ranorex, SpecFlow, Cucumber or similar. Ability to test SAP/Salesforce system integrations (or similar) is desirable.  Significant knowledge of regression testing.  Some programming experience (C#/.Net, Java etc.) would be useful.  Skilled in testing a range of legacy and modern systems.  Knowledge of things like TFS, Visual Studio, MS Test Manager etc.  Agile/Scrum methodology knowledge.  Experience in 3rd party engagement.  What you’ll be doing This role sits in the team that develop the business’ internal systems which uses SAP / Salesforce primarily. They need someone to dedicate themselves to build an automated test strategy to support business process software development. This person will own the implementation of automated testing across their SAP / Salesforce systems which aims to address issues with regression testing; this involves choosing a toolset that aligns with other areas of the business (most use Ranorex/Selenium) before implementing it, then growing a team to maintain things moving forward. The role will initially be a mixture of hands-on and strategic work, but as the team grows you’ll evolve into a more operational role to focus on future improvements, technical leadership and general best practice across the wider function. The Salesforce testing is quite straight forward but the SAP side is more complex due to the volume of business scenarios running through it, so it’s likely this will take up most of your focus in the immediate. They use some 3rd party developers for support too which you’ll need to liaise with regularly.   What you’ll get in return for your talents As well as getting paid a generous salary you will be entitled to 25 days holiday, flexi-time (core hours 10-12 and 2-3 Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week) and almost full remote working with a trip to the office once a month. There's a discretionary bonus which is consistently hit, a healthcare cash plan, life assurance 4x salary, group personal pension scheme up to 6% contribution and company subsidized membership of local health clubs. You will be eligible to participate in the company profit share scheme, cycle to work scheme, share incentive plan, free car parking and employee development programmes. What’s next?
