We’re looking for a Digital Product Designer to join a London based start-up. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on design and user experience for a purpose driven brand, shaping a product that will help change the lives of children across the country. What you’ll be doing The team fundamentally believe that quality education should be available to children from all backgrounds and provided in a way that’s both engaging and fun for students. They’ve created a platform for both students and teachers that is flexible and effective. The start-up has been up and running for around 2 years and have just achieved a round of funding giving them a clear roadmap of growth for the year ahead. They currently have an illustrator and creative designer in-house and are now looking for a Digital Product Designer to join the team and lead on UI and UX across the app. This is an opportunity to get in at ground level and help shape a product that will make a difference to children’s lives around the world, effectively making quality education available to everyone, no matter their background or financial situation. The team is small, so you’ll be working alongside a tight knit but growing team of developers, as well as closely with the founders. You’ll lead on all UX and visual design activities for the IOS app but ideally be able to support with the wider brand identity and marketing from time to time. As well as being hands on you’ll mentor and lead the junior designer in their work. What experience you’ll need Previous experience in creating digital products, preferably in start-up or a lean product team. Strong visual design skills, comfortable prototyping and creating high fidelity UI designs. User centred, able to collect and utilise user feedback to improve products. Experience of creating and implementing a design system. Passionate about education or solving real world problems through technology. Any broader graphic design and motion graphics experience desirable. Remote working available.  We’re looking for a 3D Character Animation Supervisor to join an innovative start-up team in London. This will initially be a fixed term contract between 3 and 6 months with the potential to go permanent beyond the initial booking. The team have developed a cutting-edge marker-less motion capture system and work with clients in the video games, TV and film industries. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a talented and experienced team, working with the latest Ai-based mo cap technology. What you'll be doing The animation supervisor will be working closely with technical, management and animation teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality. We’re looking for an experienced animator who knows motion capture exceptionally well and using their hands-on background can run, train and workflow a team of 3D animators. We’re looking for a proven leader here with a good track record in the industry. You’ll be supporting the delivery of high volume, fast turnaround animation projects for AAA video games titles. You’ll know the world of TV, film or video games well and how to motivate a team of animators to create their best work. Leading on projects you’ll be responsible for workflow as well as growing and managing a pool of freelancers. You’ll spend time with clients too, managing expectations and ensuring commercial agreements are met on a day-today basis. Using your hands-on expertise, you’ll train animators on re-targeting and quality processes and be responsible for quality control on each project. What experience you’ll need Proven experience in a supervisor role, preferably on AAA video games projects. A strong track record in delivering high volume, fast turnaround animation projects. An understanding of motion capture processes, character acting and rig re-targeting. Knowledge of industry animation software such as Autodesk Maya and Blender. Strong leadership skills able to motivate and develop a team of animators. An understanding of freelance management, project workflow and workload distribution. We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join a creative digital agency in Oxfordshire. With an impressive portfolio of clients this agency delivers creative across a range of digital disciplines, all from a beautiful studio location. What you'll be doing Reporting into the Creative Services Director, you’ll play a core part of leading the creative output for the agency as part of this small, talented team. There’s huge opportunity here with an existing portfolio of household names, so you’ll be leading on some exciting digital projects from the word go. In this role you’ll be working on a variety of digital briefs from responsive web to digital campaign, online reports and motion graphics. Being a digital first creative agency, a user centred approach is essential to bring to the table. You’ll pair knowledge of UX principles with pixel perfect design craft to produce digital solutions for multiple platforms, that will include responsive solutions that are both web and mobile friendly. You’ll play a pivotal part of the agency’s offering, presenting ideas directly to clients and senior stakeholders alike, along with inspiring their in-house Midweight Designer. You’ll naturally put your ideas to paper, visualising your ideas through sketches and scamps, with the ability to bring people on board with an engaging approach. The agency produces a high volume of engaging motion content so ideally, you’ll have some experience storyboarding to visualise concepts to pass on to motion specialists. We’re looking for a digitally savvy designer, who’s both conceptual and process driven, who’s up to date with the latest technology trends and always pushing for innovation. Due to COVID the team are working mostly remote, but eventually will be looking to move back to the studio full time. What experience you’ll need Commercial background in digital design within an agency environment. Knowledge of user centred design principles and modern user interface design standards. A portfolio full of digital designs (inc. responsive web, web apps and campaign.) Examples showcasing your concept workings i.e sketches and scamps. Confident guiding or mentoring junior designers. Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience leading on briefs and presenting ideas to clients. Familiarity with storyboarding for motion design / animation. After Effects skills also desirable but not essential. You’ll be reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer and working alongside both a motion designer and in-house Copywriter to produce engaging content across print, digital and motion. This is a varied role where you’ll be taking briefs end-to-end; we’re talking anything from print brochures and infographics to digital ads, eBooks, websites and landing pages. In addition, the company creates a high volume of engaging explainer videos and animations, so in an ideal world you’ll have experience storyboarding and creating assets for motion. If you’ve some video creation skills yourself then that’s a bonus! Working closely with the Director of the business you’ll be juggling multiple projects while regularly presenting your ideas to senior leadership and the wider team. This role calls for a natural communicator who can articulate ideas with ease and keep a cool head in a fast-paced environment. With offices based in Swindon, they have a flexible working scheme offering some home working and a couple of days in the office. What experience you’ll need to apply Previous experience in a similar role. A portfolio of integrated marketing designs, any motion a plus. Experience presenting ideas to stakeholders or clients. Ability to juggle several projects at once and take ownership of projects. Solid understanding of Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Perhaps some experience using After Effects and Premier Pro.
